How to Report a User on VideoChatCouple
Reporting takes one tap and does the rest for you. Here is exactly what happens after you press the button, why both people are paused, and what to do if you think a ban was wrong.

How to report in 3 steps
The report button is always available during a live call, and you never have to explain anything to the other person first.
- Tap Report during the callUse the report control in the call interface. You can also finish the call first and report from the session that just ended - the session is still available to you.
- Pick the reasonChoose the category that fits best: nudity or sexual content, harassment, threats or aggressive behaviour, spam or advertising, impersonation or a fake profile, or a minor. If you pick the wrong one, a human moderator corrects it. Choosing the closest match is always better than not reporting.
- Send itThe report goes straight into the moderation queue. You do not need to write an essay, and you do not need to wait to be contacted.
What happens after you report
When a report is filed, both you and the reported user are temporarily suspended until a moderator has reviewed the session. This is the single most distinctive thing about how VideoChatCouple handles reports, and it is deliberate.
It prevents retaliation
The reported user cannot immediately find you again, because they are suspended while the case is open. On platforms where only the reporter is blocked, the other person often returns and starts a new session to continue the harassment.
It protects honest reporters
Because both sides are paused, a false report cannot be used to remove a competitor from the queue. The moderation team reviews the evidence before anyone is banned.
A human makes the decision
Automated detection helps flag sessions, but the decision to ban is made by a moderator. The system assists the review; it does not replace it.
How the ban system works
VideoChatCouple uses a layered enforcement model rather than a single strike.
- Instant session termination for clear violations such as explicit content or threats.
- Permanent bans for serious offences. These are enforced by IP address and by a device fingerprint, so clearing your browser cookies does not clear the ban.
- Age verification and mandatory reporting for anything involving a minor. The platform is strictly 18+, and cases involving exploitation are handled with the seriousness the law and the victims require.
- Zero tolerance for nudity, sexual harassment, threats, and the promotion of illegal content.
If you think a ban was wrong
Bans are reviewed, and appeals are a real process rather than a dead end. If you believe you were banned incorrectly:
- Send an appeal from the notice you receivedThe suspension message contains an appeal channel. Use it - the moderators can then pull up the specific session that triggered the decision.
- Explain what actually happenedSay what you were doing, and what you believe was misread. A moderator reviewing the actual recording context is the fastest path to a correct outcome.
- Wait for the reviewAppeals are handled by the moderation team in order. If the decision was wrong, the ban is lifted and you can rejoin.
What the moderators can see
This matters, so it is worth being precise. When a report is filed, a moderator reviews the session context: what happened in the reported call. VideoChatCouple is built on peer-to-peer WebRTC, so the video stream itself is not routed through our servers and is not stored as a recording of your conversations.
What moderation can act on is the session evidence attached to a report - the reported behaviour, the signalling metadata for that session, and the account signals attached to the user, including the device fingerprint and IP used for enforcement.
Reporting is free and always worth it
- A good-faith report is never penalised, even if the case is dismissed.
- Every genuine report makes the next session safer for everyone.
- You are not required to have proof beyond the behaviour itself.
Frequently asked questions
Does reporting get me banned too?
No. Both you and the reported user are suspended only while a moderator reviews the case. Good-faith reports are never penalised, and a dismissed report simply ends the suspension.
Can the person I report find me again?
Practically no. Because both parties are suspended during the review, the reported user cannot immediately start a new session with you. This is specifically to stop retaliation loops.
How long does a report take to review?
Reports are queued for human review. Moderators work through them continuously, and the practical difference between minutes and hours depends on queue volume - but no case is auto-decided by software alone.
Do moderators watch every live call?
No. Video is peer-to-peer and is not recorded. Moderation works through a combination of automated detection that flags sessions, user reporting, and human review of what is flagged or reported. That is why the report button matters so much.
What if I was banned unfairly?
Use the appeal channel in the suspension message and explain what happened. A moderator can pull up the session that triggered the ban and correct the decision.
Can I report someone for being rude but not breaking a rule?
Yes, and you should. The categories cover behaviour, not only legal violations. If a conversation made you uncomfortable enough that you pressed report, that is a valid reason to file one.
