The short version
Six things worth remembering
- You control the pace. Skip ends the conversation instantly, with no explanation needed.
- Keep your identity private. No name, no address, no contact details, no financial information - ever.
- Do not move to another app. A request to switch to WhatsApp or Telegram early on is a well-known warning sign.
- Reporting is free and safe. Both sides are suspended while a human moderator reviews the session.
- Your video is peer-to-peer. It is not routed through our servers and is not recorded centrally.
- Ask your own question first. It makes it safe for the other person to answer too.
Frequently asked questions
Is VideoChatCouple free to use?
Yes, the platform is completely free. There is no registration, no premium tier, and no way to buy a faster match. It is supported by non-invasive advertising.
Do I need to register or install anything?
No. There is no account, and the service runs entirely in your browser on mobile and desktop. It can also be installed as an app-like Progressive Web App if you prefer it on your home screen.
Who moderates the platform?
Human moderators, alongside automated detection that flags sessions. When you file a report, a person makes the decision - and both you and the reported user are suspended while they review it.
Is my video recorded?
No. VideoChatCouple uses peer-to-peer WebRTC, so the video stream goes directly between the two participants and is not routed through our servers. Moderators act on session evidence attached to reports, not on a library of recordings.
What should I do if I feel unsafe?
Press the report button. Both you and the reported person are suspended pending a human review, so you are protected from retaliation while it is investigated. You can also simply skip at any time.
